Connect Kraken with trade-only API keys

Required Kraken API permissions

Use a key that can query balances and place/cancel orders. Withdrawal and transfer permissions must remain disabled.

QuantumEdge validates key scopes at connection time and rejects risky permission combinations.

• Disable: Withdraw funds
• Disable: Transfer between accounts

Connection flow

• Generate the API key in Kraken settings.
• Open Exchanges → Connect in QuantumEdge.
• Paste API key and secret, then submit.
• Wait for permission validation and connectivity checks.

Kraken walkthrough

In Kraken, open Settings → API, create a new key, enable read and trade scopes, and keep withdrawal disabled before pasting credentials into QuantumEdge.

Rotate or revoke keys safely

You can rotate keys anytime. Create a new key first, reconnect in QuantumEdge, then revoke the old key in Kraken.

Revoking the key immediately stops new trading actions from QuantumEdge until a valid key is connected.
