How QuantumEdge keeps your funds non-custodial

Security & Account Protection · Last updated 2026-05-13

The trust boundary: your funds stay on Kraken and withdrawals are never permitted.

Core model

QuantumEdge never takes custody of funds. Your assets remain on Kraken under your own account ownership.

Platform actions are limited to trade-related API operations when you provide explicit trade-only credentials.

Why withdrawal-enabled keys are rejected

Withdrawal and transfer permissions are incompatible with the platform trust model and are refused during connection validation.

If QuantumEdge is unavailable

Your funds remain on Kraken. Existing positions remain on exchange custody. QuantumEdge cannot place new orders until services recover.

Credential encryption

Exchange credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest and decrypted only for server-side exchange operations.
